Celebrating a Year of the API Intersection Podcast

This week’s podcast episode comes with a little bit of a twist. A bonus episode, if you will–with yours truly and my talented co-host, Anna Daugherty. But let’s first take a step back and reflect.

It’s been a little over a year since we launched our thought industry podcast, API Intersection. Time flies when you’re having fun, right?

We’ve now interviewed more than 30 of the world’s top API leaders, innovative developers, and technology change-makers. Whether it was folks creating programs from scratch, transforming traditional industries, or paving the way as a major Fortune 500 company, we’ve collected immense amounts of helpful API strategies and insights.

And what good is having all this knowledge if it can’t be shared? That is why we’re excited to launch the podcast team’s inaugural eBook, “API Roadmap: Secrets to API Strategy Success from Industry Leaders.”

This free eBook is an answer to the growing pains of the emerging practice of API & Platform design. It’s for program leaders looking to scale what their API strategy is, gain advice from industry peers solving the same challenges, and build a program that will stand the test of time.

These are real, concrete stories of API design and governance success — and sometimes failure. Whether it’s how to develop APIs, demonstrate ROI to the rest of your organization, improve developer experience on your own team, or measure success and adoption—this eBook is for you!

Here are some of the incredible industry colleagues we had the pleasure of speaking with in this eBook:

  • API Industry Experts: Ikenna Nwaiwu (10X Future Technologies), James Higginbotham (Launch Any), Brenton House, Software AG, Erik Wilde (Axway), Mathias Biehl (API University), Arnaud Lauret (Postman), Keith Casey (Ngrok), Matthew Reinbold (Concentrix Catalyst), and Claire Barrett (APIs First).

  • Fortune 500 API Program Leaders: Daniel David (Wells Fargo), Dilip Kirshnan (Oracle), Jayadeba Jena (Paypal), Tanya Vlahovic (eBay), Steve Sfartz (Cisco), and John Musser (Ford).

  • Technology Change-Makers: Lorinda Brandon (BetterCloud), Travis Gosselin (SPS Commerce), Aleksei Akimov (Monite), Sophie Rutard (Allianz Trade), Jeff Schneider (Asana), Jon Parise (Pinterest), and Sally Eaves (Advisor).

If you don’t have time to read through the eBook, we discussed the main takeaways from the eBook and our many wonderful guests on our latest mini-podcast episode of API Intersection this week. I invite you to watch that below.

Cheers to another wonderful year of API Intersection episodes, interesting guests, and solving API platform strategy problems as a community!
