June 15, 2021, AUSTIN, Texas — Stoplight, the API design company, announced today that Sarah McGettigan joins the team as the VP of Human Resources. After nearly doubling in company size since the previous year, Stoplight sought out an inaugural Human Resources leader to guide strategic growth of the organization.

McGettigan will oversee organizational strategy including recruitment, employee relations, and professional development and play a critical role in championing company culture. She will be an essential driver in further cultivating Stoplight’s diversity and inclusion initiatives, recognizing the importance of recruiting and retaining global talent as a remote-first organization. Reporting to Stoplight Chief Operating Officer, Jason Miller, McGettigan is based in Austin.

McGettigan is a Texas native and brings to the table more than a decade of human resources, recruiting, and development experience in both corporate and startup environments. She was previously VP of Human Resources at Dropoff, an Austin-based company focused on same-day delivery services. McGettigan earned her B.A. in Journalism at the University of Texas, Austin.
