May 10, AUSTIN, Texas — Stoplight, a leading API design company, announced today that Nicholas Muy has joined as the new Chief Information Security Officer.
Reporting to Stoplight Chief Technology Officer, Jason Harmon, this position will play a key role in building out strategy and programming for Stoplight’s security in a cloud-native, product-led-growth software-as-a-service (SaaS) platform. Muy will also be responsible for partnering with Stoplight’s product team on the right security capabilities and features for the product roadmap.

Based in Seattle, Washington, Muy comes to Stoplight with over fifteen years of experience in technology and security. He was previously at Expedia Group, leading business and commercial strategy for Expedia Group’s platform division, previously spending five years transforming security in the organization. During that period, Muy grew Expedia’s investment in security by many millions and expanded the team to more than 150 people–taking security strategy from purely operational to an increasingly technical security team. Additionally, Muy began his career in security at the Department of Homeland Security. Muy has deep technical expertise in everything from security engineering, SaaS, massive web application ecosystems, and hardware architecture.
